About The Mull Cottage
|
Our beautifull cottage is situated on the beach with uninterupted views to Iona, an idilic, tranquil small island only a short ferry trip from Fionnphort jetty, a 100yds walk from the Cottage. On the left is the view of our cottage from Iona - The cottage is on the far right.

Lovely cozy nights can be spent next to the open log fire having a well diserved rest after a good days drive, hiking, swimming, or fishing.
The immediate area has so much to offer, walking at low tide to the amazing island of Arrid where Rudyard Kipling wrote his most famous book "kidnapped", visit the Columbus Centre around the corner from the cottage, buy a few presents and fresh food from the Fingles Shop and Post Office or do a spot of fishing while watching the fishermen bring in their catch at the jetty (hampered by Sammy Seal). At the end the evening you can relax having a nice drink with the friendly local people and fishermen at the Keel Row pub with its adjoining first class restaurant all within a very short walk from the Cottage. View from Cottage window is on the right.

Three bed (one en-suite) to comfortably accommodate 2 families of 4.
A large through lounge has glass doors through to a storm porch openens out to one of the most breathtaking views on Mull. There is a TV Video & DVD (no TV signal at Fionnphort) an open fire, plenty of couch space and a dinning table and chairs.
There is a good sized kitchen with Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Washing Machine, Fridge/Freezer and all crockery, cutlery and pots & pans you might need.
Second Bathroom with a large bath. All the hot water is fed by a large new hot water tank. Your own bedding and/or sleeping bags will be required. The cottage is of a "Doran" construction, typical on the island. The precast construction of a "Doran" can cause slight dampness on the internal walls exposed to the outside but this small inconsistant problem is easily outweighed by the position and internal decoration of this stunning holiday property. Everyone that has stayed at our Cottage have wanted to return. This is a privately owned cottage bought by us for our own pleasure when not booked. We just love the Cottage, the area it is located and the people that live in Fionnphort. We know you will feel the same on your first visit.
